Saxon Weald recognises inspiring young people in the local community for a fourth year

In the autumn of last year, we welcomed nominations for our annual Youth Awards. These awards celebrate the achievements of young people who are making a positive difference in their communities.

Comprising of six categories, the winners were selected by members of Saxon Weald staff and Board, as well as Youth Provision Officer for Horsham District Council, Dan Fairchild. Our 2025 awards were generously sponsored by Jewson Partnership Solutions and kindly hosted by Horsham District Council.

Horsham District Council Cabinet Member for Housing and Communities, Cllr Sam Raby, said:

“Horsham District Council has had the joy of being part of the judging panel for the Saxon Weald Youth Awards for the past four years, and every year we’re blown away by the incredible achievements of young people across our District. This year was especially meaningful, as we had the privilege of hosting the awards event for the first time, allowing us to recognise even more young people. All too often, young people make headlines for negative reasons, so for me there’s no better way to celebrate and highlight the talent, resilience, and positive impact of so many of these amazing young people.”

The 2025 winners were:

Local Community Award – Daisy Bell

Achievement in Learning Award – Isaac Perry

Young Carer Award – Gracie and Caleb Jones

Sport and Physical Activity Award – Isabel Jones

Young Leader Award – Serena Perriton

Fundraiser of the year Award - Pollie Danzelman-Whiteman

Each winner was presented with a certificate, trophy, and £100 shopping voucher.
