Saxon Mills, Hassocks

In partnership with Barratt David Wilson Homes, Saxon Weald is working to deliver 39 new affordable homes in Hassocks. The development consists of 29 properties available for affordable rent and 10 for purchase on a shared ownership basis. The affordable rented units will be allocated to households on Mid Sussex District Council's housing register. Further information on the shared ownership properties can be found on the Weald Living website. The properties will be available on a phased release until spring 2021.

 

Knapp Drive, Shermanbury

Saxon Weald is working in partnership with Riverdale Developments to deliver seven new affordable homes in Shermanbury. The development will consist of four properties for affordable rent and three for purchase on a shared ownership basis. The affordable rented homes will be allocated to households on Horsham District Council’s housing register and will be available from early 2021.

 

New Monks Farm, Lancing

In partnership with CALA Homes, Saxon Weald is working to deliver 45 new homes for affordable rent and 30 new homes for purchase on a shared ownership basis. Conveniently located with easy access to Worthing and Brighton, the completed site will also consist of a new IKEA store and a 28-hectare country park. Properties on this development will range from one-bedroom flats to three-bedroom houses, and will be available on a phased release from 2021 to 2025.

 

Bennetts Road, Horsham

Demolition of six town-centre properties began this summer to make way for 21 brand new homes for affordable rent. Consisting of a mixture of one and two-bedroom flats and three-bedroom houses, the new site will have the potential to house up to 71 people, compared with just 11 people previously. The development has been made possible thanks to a partnership with Horsham District Council, who provided funding for the scheme through Section 106 contributions from private developers for affordable housing. The new homes will be allocated to people on the housing register and are anticipated to be completed by autumn 2021.

 

Pathfield Close, Rudgwick

Our newest scheme in Rudgwick will provide six new homes for affordable rent, including four two-bedroom properties and two three-bedroom properties. Built by Sunninghill Construction Ltd, the properties are conveniently situated close to the centre of the village and local primary school. Expected to be ready for occupancy in late summer 2021, they will be allocated by Horsham District Council to residents with a local connection who are on the housing register.

 

Page Court, Horsham

Demolition of an outdated retirement accommodation will begin this autumn to make way for 48 affordable new homes. Built by Westridge Construction Limited, the site will consist of 40 one and two-bedroom flats for affordable rent (including two wheelchair-friendly homes) and eight two and three-bedroom houses for social rent. The units will all be allocated to households on Horsham District Council’s housing register and we anticipate that these town-centre properties will be completed in early 2022.
