Beware of no win, no fee deals

In reality, you may receive very while costing us large amounts in legal fees. Claims farmers often falsely pretend to be from ‘Saxon Weald’ or a ‘Maintenance Department’ or ‘Repairs Team,’

The downsides to pursuing a ‘no win, no fee claim’.

These companies may make offerings to you that sound great. However, there can be downsides to pursuing a claim such as:

 

Costs to you that could include:

• Taking out and paying for an insurance policy.

• Solicitors’ fees and legal costs if your claim is not successful.
• Fees if you decide to stop the process. You are likely to be charged for all the costs incurred up to that point.

 

• You could be in breach of your tenancy agreement. Solicitors may advise you to prevent us accessing your home while a disrepair claim is ongoing. This would put you in breach of your tenancy agreement with us.
• Time and stress. It could take years for your case to be resolved. You might even have the stress of having to appear in court. All this time your repair may still be outstanding.
