Tailored services

Customer feedback from our surveys shows they want our services to feel more personal and to take their needs into account.

Changes we can make include:

  • Communicating in the best ways for the customer
  • Prioritising repairs if they affect someone’s health
  • Giving financial support and advice during difficult circumstances
  • Providing more housing support for a first tenancy after leaving care
  • Fitting handrails or other minor mobility aids
  • Giving customers more time to answer the door when we visit

How we have adjusted our repairs service:

Last year, we reviewed our repairs service so we can prioritise those who need it most. This means customers with specific requirements are not disadvantaged and their wellbeing is not put at risk.

Some customers' circumstances might mean they need us to attend appointments at different times, perhaps because of work or caring responsibilities. It could be that someone with young children in the household needs a repair completed more quickly to ensure they are kept safe, or it could be someone with mobility issues needs more time to answer a door or phone. Knowing more about our customers, means we know how to tailor our service to suit them.
