Over 55 housing

An open front door to an over 55 housing apartment

Effective from Monday, 1 December 2025: We have recently received an unprecedented number of retirement housing applications. To ensure we continue to provide a high-quality service that meets our customers’ needs, we are temporarily unable to accept new applications. If you are in urgent housing need:

  • Contact your local authority housing team for guidance.
  • Apply to other retirement housing associations.
  • Consider private rented accommodation.

Our retirement flats and bungalows for over 55s have been designed to make life a little easier. They release you from the worry, work, and expense of managing a larger home. You get independence and privacy when you want it, with the added advantage of living in a welcoming community environment.

Our schemes range from studio flats to one and two-bedroom apartments and bungalows. Each property has its own front door and is fully self-contained with its own kitchen and bathroom.

Our developments offer a range of facilities for the comfort and enjoyment of residents. Many feature a residents' lounge, while some also have a dining room or activity area. Most developments also have shared gardens or even small private gardens, patios, or balconies. There are often opportunities to socialise, however, you choose the lifestyle you want and can be as private or as active as you wish.

Facilities vary but can include:

  • Residents' lounge
  • Quiet room/computer area
  • Dining room
  • Guest rooms (available at a small charge for overnight visitors)
  • Laundry room
  • Mobility scooter charging point
  • Communal garden
  • Off-road parking
