Our flagship extra care scheme, Highwood Mill, was recognised at LABC's 2017 South East Excellence Awards on Friday night (23 June) winning the award for 'Best High Volume New Housing Development'.
Highwood Mill consists of 105 apartments for over 55s, with an extensive range of facilities and a care team on site for those who need extra support. The building's design, created by expert architects PRP Specialist Housing, is an interpretation of a traditional Sussex watermill with elements of contemporary detailing.
Business Development Director Mark Crosby was delighted with the prize. "The award is testament to the good partnerships with Berkeley Homes and all their contractors in the construction of Highwood Mill, which is an outstanding place for the people who live there."
As a regional winner, Highwood Mill will now go forward to the national awards in November.
