Getting involved

Your input and feedback is really important to us, which is why we’re always looking for new ways for you to get involved and share your views. Some of the ways you can currently do this include:

Getting involved

Surveys

We carry out several surveys throughout the year, ranging from our overall service to specific things, such as repairs and complaints. The results of these surveys give us great insight and help us identify where we need to improve.

You can find more information about our surveys and how we use them here

Service user testing

We’re continually working to ensure that your experience with us is positive. This includes using our online service, My SaxonWeald.

From time to time, we may ask you to be involved in user testing after a system update or change. As a customer, your feedback is valued to ensure we’re hitting the mark and our services meet your needs.

Consultations

Before entering into a long term agreement for works and services, we’re required to consult with you. This is known as a Section 20 Consultation.

The consultation process is an important part of renewing agreements with our existing contractors or bringing new ones on board. The feedback provided during these discussions helps ensure our contractors can deliver the high standard of service our customers deserve.

During the recent consultations around our cleaning and grounds maintenance contracts, we invited one of our tenants and one of our leaseholders to join the interview panel. This proved to be a successful way of ensuring resident involvement, and we’re keen to ensure similar opportunities are available for residents in the future.

Tenant board members

It’s also important for us to ensure that our customers’ voice is heard at a strategic level; which is why our Board is not only made up of local independent business people and members of our executive team, but also includes two of our tenants.

It’s the responsibility of our Board to:

  • establish and review policies, strategies and service standards
  • make decisions about resourcing and budgets
  • monitor and review our performance

Scheme meetings

If you live in one of our extra care or retirement schemes, there are often resident led meetings and coffee mornings. These are great opportunities to discuss ideas or concerns with your neighbours and feed them back to your scheme manager.
