At the end of April, we visited Pulborough for a community clear-up day in Stane Street Close. We were blessed with beautiful sunshine, saw lots of residents and had a rewarding day getting stuck into the clean-up.
Our team was boosted by volunteers from our contractors, Cleanscapes and Groundscapes, and from our materials supply store, JPS, who also donated gardening equipment and refreshments. We’d like to extend our thanks for the support they offered.
Our teams went round the close, checking communal areas for any problems or safety issues, and picked up on any odd-jobs that were needed. Garden areas got tidied and spruced up and the bin areas were jet-washed. We also arranged two large skips to help residents dispose of unwanted items.
Being out in the community gave us a great opportunity to hear our customers’ views and suggestions and we received some great feedback. Everyone we spoke to seemed glad to see us out and about and were grateful for the help tidying up their neighbourhood.
