What happens when you report damp, mould or condensation

If you report damp, condensation and/or mould in your home, we’ll ask you a series of questions about the issue. This includes checking which rooms are affected, the size of the problem and if there are any obvious causes of the problem e.g. a water leak. It’s also helpful at this point to see photos of the affected area.


We will then arrange for HomeFix to visit your home to wash down and treat the affected area. While this is being done, the operative will also carry out some checks to your home to see if there are any underlying issues causing the damp and mould. Depending on what the problem is, a surveyor may need to attend to inspect the problem further. We may also need to book in further work, such as installing an extractor fan, fitting insulation, or repairing any issues with your roof. We will also be able to give you advice on what you can do to help manage levels of condensation in your home.
