Saxon Weald joins The Women’s Trade Network

Date: 2 December 2021

We're delighted to announce that we've recently joined The Women’s Trade Network; an initiative founded by some of the most well-known organisations in housing and property to increase the representation of women in trade roles.

In addition to joining the network, we've also signed the Women’s Trade Network Pledge. This is a commitment to supporting long-term change in the industry by helping to remove barriers, empower and support, as well as increase access to the industry for women.

Saxon Weald’s Chief Executive, Steven Dennis, said:

“At Saxon Weald, we strongly believe in gender equality and support the ambition to increase gender diversity across the trade industry. We believe in equal opportunities for everyone, within every department, and this includes increasing diversity within our HomeFix team.”

We're currently recruiting for several roles within the HomeFix team. If you’re looking to kickstart your career in the trade industry or have experience you can bring to the team, head over to our career page to find out more:

Currently, just two percent of tradespeople in the UK are female, a statistic that has barely changed in 40 years. The Women’s Trade Network is on a mission to change that and increase the representation of women in trade roles.

Cem Savas, CEO of Plentific and co-founder of the Women’s Trade Network said:
“The Women’s Trade Network is an important initiative to encourage women to consider a career in trade. With the backing of the wider industry, we will be able to make a big difference and we are delighted that Saxon Weald has pledged its support; not just to the network, but to aspiring tradeswomen everywhere. Together, we will enact real change.”
