Saxon Weald is looking for a new Assistant Director - People

    Share

    Date: 8 January 2021

We are looking for a talented Assistant Director – People, to join us for the next stage of our exciting journey.

At Saxon Weald, we place a great emphasis on providing a local housing service to fit local housing needs. We take pride in putting residents at the heart of what we do and making them part of our journey to provide better homes, housing services and communities.

We have an ambitious and aspirational vision ‘Great homes, building futures’ and a vibrant and dynamic people culture. We are committed to delivering a great customer experience for the residents of the 6,750 homes we own across Sussex and Hampshire through our 250 staff members and have plans to build over 500 new, much needed, affordable homes over the next 5 years.

The Assistant Director – People, is a key role at Saxon Weald operating at the heart of the business and driving our progressive, vibrant and people focused business forward, whilst supporting the delivery of our Corporate Plan. The challenges for the future will include: defining our agile work offer and employer brand, so that we continue to attract, engage and retain a diverse and engaged workforce; leading on our strategic aim to be a ‘great place to work’ and managing people effectively within a more flexible and agile work environment.

In developing our People offer, we want to maintain and build on our IIP Gold achievement and develop a People Strategy fit for the future; a strategy that embraces organisational design, reward, talent and performance management, staff wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, and coaching and development for all – in short, the blueprint that will maximise our peoples’ success and happiness at Saxon Weald and continue to make it a great place to work.

We are looking for you to bring HR leadership experience and a track record of developing and delivering progressive people strategies in a customer focused environment. We look forward to hearing your ideas on how we can define and develop lifestyle contracts and continue to support and meet the wellbeing needs of our people, in a fast changing and flexible work environment.

It is critical that your change management and transformation experience is underpinned by a coaching and collaborative style that will inspire, motivate and empower people.
