Residents and staff recently let their creative flair run wild during an Easter themed craft afternoon at our Rosebrook Court extra care scheme in Southampton.
From decorative plant pots to carrot sweet holders (and plenty of chocolate), it was the perfect way to get into the Easter spirit.
The afternoon was also a fantastic opportunity for our residents to socialise with neighbours and have a chat with Saxon Weald colleagues, all while enjoying a nice cuppa and a few sweet treats.
Steven Dennis, Saxon Weald’s Chief Executive, shared how much he enjoyed the event:
“The craft afternoon at Rosebrook Court was a wonderful occasion that allowed residents and staff to really connect with each other. We know how much days like these are enjoyed and appreciated amongst our customers, and seeing so many leave with a smile on their face was a great end to a lovely afternoon.”
Extra care is an ideal option for older people who want to keep their independence but may require a little extra help with day-to-day living. All of our extra care schemes offer an onsite restaurant, communal spaces such as a residents' lounge, as well as communal gardens.
