If you don’t currently receive Pension Credit, you will not be entitled to receive a Winter Fuel Payment this year.
Even if you only qualify for £1, you’ll not only be entitled to the winter fuel payment, you may also be eligible to receive the following:
To ensure you receive the Winter Fuel Payment by December, you need to apply for Pension Credit before 22 September 2024. Pension Credit claims made after this date could still qualify for the winter payment, provided your benefit claim is backdated, up to a maximum of three months.
