Changes to our repairs service

Emergency and essential repairs only from 7 January.

Due to the developing coronavirus situation, we are having to make some important changes to our services. From 7 January we will only be carrying out emergency, essential or external repairs and essential safety checks. If you have a non-urgent repair booked, we will be in touch about cancelling the appointment.


Please do not contact us to book non-essential repairs as we do not know when we will be resuming our normal service. We will send regular email updates to customers, but please make sure you are also checking our website or Facebook page for information.

Examples of repairs you can book:



  • Blocked or unusable toilet
  • Loss of electrics
  • Complete failure of the heating system
  • Property not secure e.g. broken lock
  • An uncontainable leak
  • Hazards to health and safety, such as trip or slip hazards


Essential repairs:

  • No hot water
  • Taps leaking into basin
  • Large window stuck open
  • Repairs to essential aids and adaptations e.g. broken handrails
  • Repairs to front and back doors
  • Repairs to fire doors
  • Light in kitchen / bathroom not working
  • Electrical sockets not working
  • Toilet not flushing (where customer cannot safely flush with bucket for a period of time)
  • Washing facility not working


External works:

We may also be able to carry out works outside including:

  • Fencing
  • Guttering
  • Groundworks
  • Pavement repairs
  • Aids & Adaptations
  • Brickwork & Pointing
  • Manhole and drainage covers
  • Roof repairs

Importantly, we will also be carrying out essential safety checks, such as annual gas servicing, so please let us know if you need to change your appointment.


All our operatives will be following covid-safe guidelines including maintaining social distancing and wearing appropriate PPE. We appreciate your co-operation with respecting these guidelines.
