  Blooming Marvellous

The residents of Charles Wyatt House, Southampton have Monica Kinrade to thank for “inspiring others and making a difference” to the communal garden.

Monica Kinrade who moved into Charles Wyatt House in October 2015 found she needed a new interest in life. She saw that the patio garden, common to all residents, could do with a little more attention and felt she could make a difference.

Greenery started springing up, followed by colour of all sorts. Other residents were inspired too, one of whom made a roofed double seat, adding to the expertise which was now being shown.

Monica believes it was all a ‘try it and find out if it works’ effort, but the TLC has been evident with the prolific blooming of the plants. It’s a joy to pass by and view the garden, let alone sit in it.

This hard work is really appreciated by other residents and visitors to Charles Wyatt House.
