Spreading the community spirit

Date: 23 December 2019

Earlier in the month, members of Saxon Weald staff leant a helping hand at the Strawford Centre's Christmas fayre. Based in Horsham, the centre caters for adults with learning difficulties, helping them develop independent and social skills for use in everyday life.

Spreading the community spirit

Our team of volunteers showed their support by helping on a number of stalls, including the raffle, which had been generously donated to by companies in the local area.

Scheme Manager at Saxon Weald, Erika, was delighted to have the chance to get involved:

"It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning in which we were treated to a Nativity that was performed by the drama group. It was wonderful to see so many people come along and support the fayre, and to see that so many companies had supported the raffle. I look forward to volunteering again if the opportunity arises."

A big thank you to everyone at the Strawford Centre for letting us be part of your Christmas celebrations. We look forward to working together again in the future.
