We are looking for someone to join our team of
scheme managers supporting the provision of excellent retirement
housing for older people. Our main purpose is to promote residents’
independence, choice and wellbeing.
You will be involved in all aspects of supporting our tenants, from
repairs and rent to welfare issues and liaising with other agencies.
The successful candidate will be a confident and professional
communicator. You will need first class interpersonal,
organisational and customer service skills and be a real team player
with a flexible approach. You will have good IT skills, as you need
to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook to complete support plans
and risk assessments.
The role will require some travel throughout Sussex. Mileage
expenses between retirement housing schemes will be paid.
You will be required to work the duty manager rota which will
include some evening and weekend on-call working and it is therefore
essential that applicants have a full driving licence and their own
transport.

Margaret House is a new
Extra Care retirement scheme for older people due to open in
November 2010. Extra Care housing enables vulnerable older people to
maintain their independence and live in their own home with
appropriate care and support.
We are looking for an experienced manager who has a professional
working knowledge of the needs of older people. Experience of
working with people who have dementia would be an advantage. You
will work as part of a multi-agency on-site team, providing housing
related support to residents and assisting them with their
tenancies. You will help provide links with agencies such as social
services and health, focusing on outcomes for residents. The ability
to foster good multi-agency working relationships is essential.
